Sunday Services
ESF meets on Sundays for worship, usually in Davis Chapel. These services are guided by the Book of Common Prayer or some variation. We have a diverse variety of music each week. While services are led by the Rev. James Franklin, they are also student-led with many opportunities for student participation and involvement, whether that is by playing music, reading, or something else! No matter your background, race, gender identity, sexual preference, or political leanings, you are welcome here. You are beloved and we’d love to welcome you into our beloved community.
Wednesday Night Dinners
Join us on Wednesday nights for dinner and fellowship! We eat, we check in, we pray together, and most nights we practice the art of "doing nothing." Let’s face it, we are pulled in so many directions that between classes, homework, and studying, where we are always "on" we need some time to just have sabbath and community around who care for us. Meals are prepared by students and area churches, and usually followed by a group activity. These dinners are held in the BSU (Baptist Student Union, found in the basement of Kitchin Residence Hall at 6 PM. See you there!
ESF Book Club
This past semester, students led and organized a book study of Nadia Bolz-Weber’s Shameless. Stay tuned for the next book this spring! As always, no matter your background, race, gender identity, sexual preference, or political leanings, you are welcome to be a part of this small group. Stay tuned on our social media for updates for the coming semester!
Retreats
Each semester, ESF takes a weekend retreat. On these trips, we go off campus to hike, play games, worship, and spend time together in nature for a weekend. Check below for our upcoming retreat details and sign up!
